NSI is on schedule to introduce a new line of soak-off UV nail gels for April 2009. Soak-off gels are a relatively new classification of professional nail care products and NSI wanted to take the time to truly understand the benefits and complications with the product before diving into the launch.
NSI President, Rick Slack, was the first person at NSI to really push for this new line. “We started our soak-off gel development in the spring of 2008 and originally planned to introduce the line later that year. After getting entrenched in the project, I realized this wasn’t something that could be rushed. There was so much potential with this new product line and I didn’t want to move too quickly.” NSI needed to get to the bottom of a couple of things.
First, which nail technicians are using soak-off gels and why were they choosing them over traditional UV nail gels? Another question of equal importance was, “What complaints do soak-off gel users have about the products that are currently on the market?” After surveying nail technicians around the world, NSI felt they had a better understanding of this product category and what they needed to do to bring it to the next level.
With that understanding, Illusion Soak-Off Gels were born. “The word ‘Illusion’ can be taken many different ways” explains NSI Sales & Marketing Coordinator, Jessie Burkhardt. “For the nail technician, the illusion is that she is working with traditional, permanent UV gels, as the shine and strength are greater than soak-off gels that are currently on the market. They can be shaped and filed like traditional UV gels, but the removal is quick and easy when soaked in the product remover, leaving no residual product on the natural nail. For the client, the product is so light, thin and easily removed, it’s like they’re not even wearing nail enhancements.”
Illusion Soak-Off Gels are so easy to apply, anyone can use them; even techs that primarily apply acrylic nails. To test it risk free, the first 100 people to send their NSI website username to illusionoffer@nsinails.com will receive an Illusion Sampler Kit at no charge when the product is launched. You must be located in one of the 50 US states to be eligible for this offer. If you don’t have a username, register here.
